Double Gauze Baby Cloth – What’s In A Name
Well this fabric certainly takes the spot as the most difficult to name that we have ever encountered. Recognised under a variety of titles from Double Gauze through to Baby Cloth, Swaddling Cloth and many more. Eventually we took a consensus at an exhibition, asked lots of visitors and (rightly or wrongly) hit on Double Gauze Baby Cloth.
However despite the naming difficulties descriptions are easier to provide and we are thrilled to be able to bring you this super fabric.
Asked for repeatedly last year we only tracked down a good source with consistent quality and a lovely design range towards the end of 2017. With summer approaching we are delighted to introduce this fabulous and extensive Double Gauze Fabric Collection.
Designs range from Swallows and Dragonflies through to a classic Spot, a Mini Star and more. Not to mention a range of plains.

What Is Double Gauze Baby Cloth
A lovely quality light weight 100% cotton gauze style fabric. We say gauze style as although the fabric is relatively loosely woven it is certainly not see through so can be used for garments, apparel etc. without concern. It is absolutely ideal for flowing summer skirts, dresses and even lightweight shirts.
Unlike it’s classic loose woven standard gauze counterpart, this range offers a consistent weave and perfectly consistent quality throughout the length. It has a light natural textured and is soft to the touch.
Moving away from clothing it makes for a perfect weight swaddling cloth adding a little warmth to baby without over heating – this property also makes it perfect for layering.
