Drawing inspiration from Bags For Life – Stuart’s extraordinarily successful new book that was an instant sell-out!
Stuart will cover a variety of bag-making techniques from the book including use of interfacings and other techniques, hints & tips.
The book is not essential for the demonstrations but copies will be available on the day should you feel inspired!

Back to where it started. Stuart’s career started in quilt design & workshop tutoring. He has taken both of these passions to the next level adapting his style to bring quilting to TV and becoming so engrossed in design that he has even moved onto creating the fabrics themselves!
In this demo he will share some super techniques, hints & tips. He will probably kill me for saying this but this is very much a ‘learn from a master moment’!

Following the morning talk and both afternoon demonstrations Stuart will be available for meet & greet, book signings, discussions, fabric guidance and Q&As.
Stuart Hillard – Quilting, Bag Making & All-Round Sewing Guru!
Stuart is one of the leading sewing & craft experts in the UK and one of the most recognisable faces in the industry, combining expert know-how with a fun, approachable and “can do” attitude.
His blend of expertise, fast, fun demos and achievable designs has made him a firm fan favourite.
Stuart’s career in crafting began over 30 years ago designing quilts & teaching workshops. However it was his breakout appearance in The Great British Sewing Bee & subsequent co-presenting of the Christmas Special that really launched his career.
He is a quilt designer, columnist, tutor, presenter, best-selling author, fabric designer & all round textile guru!
