Empress Mills is a fabulous family firm which has first class customer care. The range of fabrics and haberdashery goods is vast and includes many top fabric ranges. Their short videos are excellent for describing the feel and quality of many fabrics. It is staffed by knowledgeable people who go the extra mile to help.

Absolutely love visiting the warehouse shop. I could spend all day there browsing the fabrics and haberdashery! Lovely helpful staff. Loyalty card also available if you are shopping in person at the warehouse.

It's just changed its location (July 2024) into Empress Mill on Empress Street Colne. Excellent store for anything that's 'sewing'. Like an aladdin's cave. Has a vast array of shelves covered in a huge selection of products, from the common to the unusual. Fantastic place!

Visited the new shop yesterday 9/07. Fantastic. Couldn’t believe the wide choice of fabrics and haberdashery. Prices so good. Tried to resist impulse buying. Unfortunately can’t join you on Saturday but will definitely be back very soon even though it is a good hour drive. Already passing the word round to everyone I know.
Any chance of the demonstrations on Saturday being put on YouTube?

I am so pleased that they have opened their shop, I much prefer to see and feel fabric. The shop is fantastic with a huge range of all kinds of fabric, wadding and fleece as well as fat quarters, remnants, jelly rolls. Tons of haberdashery and also crafting supplies. The staff are lovely and so helpful and prices are reasonable with plenty of bargains too. I can't recommend Empress enough and I'll definitely be going again.
