100% Cotton Wadding

100% cotton wadding or batting is a natural and popular option for quilting and other textile projects. It is made exclusively from the fibres of the cotton plant and is a pure, natural, and sustainable material.

100% cotton waddings are traditional quilt waddings in their purest sense. They are selected for their warmth, soft touch and inherent breathability. 

While most people pre-wash a pure cotton option to remove shrinkage, many quilters also choose to include the wadding in the finished piece and then wash. This adds some natural, traditional/authentic, texture to the quilt as the wadding shrinks slightly during the first couple of washes and carries the quilt top with it.
